After two years of international travel, Jason returns to teach more about raw and living foods. This time he will teach you to make homemade, inexpensive beverages full of probiotics, vitamins, minerals and flavor.
Why pay $4 a bottle for kombucha at the store, when you can brew it at home for pennies a bottle? You can also get more creative with flavors. In this class, Jason will teach you how to brew fun kombucha flavors like GingerBerryBlue and CranLavendar. Kombucha and Kefirs are delicious, lo-cal sparking beverages you can make at home with nothing artificial. Replace aspartame with cocunut water and FDC Red #2 with blueberries.
The class will also cover making homemade vitamin waters and electrolyte replacement beverages. Did you know you can make a delicious green "gatorade" out of pine needles?!
While he will explain some of the science and rationale behind raw living foods, he will focus mostly on recipes and techniques. He will share tips on how to eat and drink much better without spending a lot of time in the store or kitchen. Class materials will include recipes, shopping tips, and instructions, plus you can eat everything we prepare. $15 class fee includes recipes, kombucha tasting and raw vegan pizza snacks. Brewing bottles, kombucha starter, kefir starter and teas will also be on hand for purchase.
Jason has headed the Intellectual Property group of a large local law firm, so he understands the time constraints of a demanding career. In the first 6 months of switching from what he calls a “packaged food” diet to a raw living foods diet, he reduced his weight by 40 pounds and increased his focus, flexibility and spiritual awareness.
Jason is a certified yoga instructor and loves to teach people to hula hoop.
