      Hi Sonia,

Try Ranch 99 grocery store on Spring Mountain in China town. You can buy a case there for cheaper than buying off the shelf

Love the topic and the teacher!

John, I am very interested in your statement "you should never purchase dry coconut shreds found in the bulk bins again".
I actually prefer to buy shreds in a bulk section because I can use my own biodegradable/compostable bags and Henderson WF market sells organic coconut shreds. I understand that organic coconut shreds are not easy to find in most stores/cities. I think shreds is better than not organic coconuts which is dipped in formaldehyde and/or Sodium metabisulfite. Did you see this article that JD wrote? "Young coconuts, chemical "dipping" & organic?... a tale of chemicals, rumors & assumptions!" http://veganexcellence.com/index.php/blog/vegan-and-raw-news/young-coconuts-chemical-dipping-organic-rumors-assumptions.html
I understand that shreds are more oxidized, but is there more reasons? If there is more reasons I do not know I will try to come, even if I have to ride a bike for 20 miles!
