Raw\Living Food Potluck Guidelines

Raw/Living Potlucks must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • All potluck dishes must be raw/vegan recipes - no dairy, animal products, or cooked foods (above 118 degrees) of any kind.
  • Ingredients are preferably all organic.
  • Encourage attendees to check raw lifestyle books and online sites for some good resources.
  • All dishes must be accompanied by the recipe written out so all participants can see it - in addition to the importance of all raw ingredients, members may have certain allergies that need to be disclosed.
  • Attendees must bring their own plate, utensils and napkin to save on resources, as well as clean-up for the event host.
  • Optional: It is suggested to have a theme for the potluck: desserts, main dishes, etc
  • Optional: It is suggested to have some type of "program" - a panel, a speaker, a demo, yoga, etc. This makes the event more engaging and interesting to the members.
  • Optional: Encourage to bring copies of the recipe to share.
  • Optional: If the potluck is large, name tags are a great tool.
  • Optional: It is a good idea to bring blank 3x5 cards and pens so recipes can be copied down also.
