Who organized?
Gabe Barber

We will be reading Portland Noir, edited by Kevin Sampsell, and featuring stories from Bill Cameron, Ariel Gore, Jonathon Selwood, Floyd Skloot, Karen Karbo, Monica Drake, and many more.

Kevin Sampsell and Bill Cameron will be joining us to discuss this book, so come ready with questions for both of them.

As always, it's not required that you have read the book, as we will try to make the discussion general enoug that everyone can enjoy it and follow along.

Look forward to seeing you all there!

Katie, There is free parking, but it's limited. Trimet might be a good option.

Is there (cheap) parking at the Goose Hollow Inn or should I come by trimet? Thanks!

    •  Thanks so much to Gabe for arranging for the editor and one of the authors to attend. Great discussion!
    •  Very insightful. Had a great time.
    •  Cheers to Gabe for organizing this meeting and arranging for Kevin Sampsell and Bill Cameron to attend at the discussion. I look forward to future meetings.
    •  Positives: great guests, lively and intelligent attendees, small size of group, good organizer. Negatives: bad venue-very crowded, noisy and dark, and parking was a nightmare, causing me to be 30 minutes late for the meetup even though I arrived at the venue 20 minutes before the start time (got lost, was forced into huge detour, circled the block repeatedly, eventually took a chance and parked at the closed dental office next door).
    •  I wish that conversation had stayed focused on the book.
    •  It was very enjoyable to have the editor Kevin Sampsell (also an author) and one of the authors Bill Cameron at the meetup. They answered many questions and it was interesting to hear questions from other participants that might not have crossed your mind. I look forward to the next one.
