Thanks to Sally for hosting these great dinners (and sharing her acquired knowledge of these wonderful nooks), and KC for masterful ordering. Enjoyed the company as well!

Happy New Year! Happy Valentine's Day! Happy Birthday, President Lincoln! Happy Ash Wednesday! In the spirit of Lent, we enjoyed a trinity of fish: fried whole fish, spicy fillets and fish head soup, but, instead of fasting, we feasted. Water boiled beef was a favorite, but oil must gush out of some faucets in Sichuan Province. Is its inventor the Chinese Jed Clampett? The waitress cautioned us about the cold appetizer Tears in Eyes. The results were at most Sweat on Face, but no one would order a dish named that. The noodle dish fancifully known as Ants Climbing a Tree was the spiciest as the sauce coated each thin strand. If the chef knows that you can handle the heat, Legend, felicitously located at 88 7th Avenue, is a gem hiding in plain sight. In the Year of the Snake and evermore, never forget the golden rule of dining out - do not offend the wait staff before ordering; they are handling our food. And please no more nickel and dime drama, especially the nickel kind.

I actually ended up switching classes (for other reasons) but it left my Wed nights free. Super excited to be able to come to these dinners!
