New technologies that capture the physical world digitally and deliver digital information physically are revolutionizing the design, production, and management of physical stuff, from buildings to highways, from automobiles to video games, and from dental crowns to spinal implants. This is Reality Computing.
Reality Computing technologies allow users to digitally capture the existing conditions of objects and locations (e.g. laser scanning, photogrammetry, depth cameras) as reality data, compute and analyze reality data in design software, and physically create new work from digital information either directly (e.g. 3D printing, digital fabrication) or visually (e.g. augmented reality).
This group is for anyone interested in innovative technology that is changing the future. Our Meetups feature demos from startups and established companies working on Reality Computing technologies, great networking opportunities, and a chance for brief shout-outs from attendees seeking help from the community.
