Ahoy sailors, A Reality Sailing member had the nicest idea for a meetup. It's an overnight at Mariners cove in Mission Bay. The plan goes like this, on Fridays afternoon we will be casting off from Kona Kai and head 5 N.M. west from RW “SD” Mo (A) WHIS Buoy rounding the Point Loma Peninsula from about 8 N.M off the shoreline. This will give us opportunity to avoid the seaweed to then head towards Fl G 6 sec. 42 ft 7M “1” HORN at Mission bay entrance. Once in Mission Bay Mariners Cove we will anchor near the Roller Coaster. Depending on everyone’s choice we would row to shore using our dingy to enjoy the Pacific Beach night life. The next morning after breakfast we will head back out to blue waters to explore the La Jolla Bird Rock area to then head towards a circumnavigation around Coronado Norte Island. The plan is to be back to the SD channel entrance just before sunset. This way we could enjoy the seeting of the sun without any obstructions. If we are lucky we could even see the green flash. This 1.5 day sail will give you the chance to go to a destination, experience a nice anchorage and explore the beautiful San Diego Coast line that not many San Diego day sailors get to enjoy. Remember guys, Reality Sailing is the only club that provides just about everything. Good food, Light hors d’oeuvres, great company and Drinks (non-alcoholic), but you are more welcome to bring anything to share with the group. Let’s do this one Sailors, it promises to be one of the best sails you’ve ever done.
