“ I went to one RfR meetup which was cross-listed on Fellowship of Freethought. I thought the discussion was very helpful toward being able to let go of my former pro-Christian bias and to look at things in the Bible objectively. After almost 40 years in church (having even attended a Christian college and taught years of Bible studies), I already had developed a lot of doubts and suspicions about the Bible, but the discussion helped me see more contradictions in the Bible, proving from within the Bible that the Bible is not inerrant. After four years of research, I am now convinced that the Bible is just a collection of exaggerations, misattributions, legends borrowed from pagans, a little bit of history, a little bit of poetry, documentation of con artists (who conned some writers), some writers who collaborated with the con artists for financial gain, Paul who bought the gentile franchise of the Christian con, and outright fiction. Thanks for helping free me of superstition! ”
