I am enthusiastically religionless and want to meet others such as I. I could use some moral support and would love to join discussions. The last meeting you had scheduled I wanted to attend but was unable because something came up.
It started about twenty-four years ago and it has been snowballing ever since. I didn't drop it cold turkey. I hope you have another group scheduled soon and I will try my best to come. I want to learn to deal with the problems and pains of life without religion. I believe this can be done. I think learning to live without religion is not easy, but healthy and needs to be done to help others learn not to depend on it and it's magical, illusional thinking. I see religion as counterproductive to the betterment of mankind and world peace.
Hello again, Kathleen. I'm back in town and would love to meet with you late next week. Daytime hours are better for me. Also, it would be easier if you emailed me at [masked]. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Wonderful! I'm going out of town for a week but will plan on meeting up with you sometime around the 17th (ish). I'm in Rita Ranch. Where ever you are...maybe you can find a place in between? I do a lot of work meeting people at Starbucks all over town so I'm familiar with most locations. You can give me your cross streets and I could find one as well. Looking forward to meeting you!
I do hope you're able to make it! If not, let's plan on meeting for coffee another time.
We meet the last Friday of each month but there are events almost daily to connect with other non-believers in Tucson. Check out my Meet Up profile for suggestions.
Welcome, Kathleen! Please take a few minutes to like our Facebook page, Recovering From Religion-Tucson. Here I post articles and events related to the loss of faith. Also, if you don't mind privately emailing me via my Meet Up profile to let me know why you want to be a part of this group. Thanks and welcome!
