I'm really enjoying getting back into the meetings and seeing both the regular faces and some new faces. I, too, greatly appreciate Bob's contributions... they're always uniquely "Bob"!

I read Sara's emails on other opportunities for getting together with the local free-thought community, but I think RR has a unique mission that isn't met by the other groups. That's why I suggested possible twice-a-month meetings. I know folks are busy, and twice a month might be a challenge for some, but if the fundies can meet 3 times a week, why not 2 times a month for us? Just a thought.

All the best to all of you! And congrats to Sara on attaining her yellow belt!

So...this is happening. Kennewick Councilman calls for prayer at the beginning of meetings. http://www.tri-cityherald.com/2014/09/03/3133860_kennewick-councilman-calls-for.html?rh=1

FFRF is experienced on dealing with this issue. But this is very sad.

Yeah, FFRF has the resources to deal with it, likely. Still... it blows my mind that so few people in politics respect the separation of church and state.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
