Kayak and Wine on south Lake Washington

May I suggest a new venue for kayaking and beverages? Lake Washington ends in Renton by the gorgeous Gene Coulon Park. The Landing is minutes away with lots of eating options and a movie theater. Here's my thoughts...

Gather at the Cascade Kayak Center at the southern tip of Lake Washington. Center opens at 11:00, so that would be a great time to drop the kayaks in. They do take reservations, but not required.

Drinks and food after on the patio at Vino at the Landing wine bar, a few minutes away in The Landing between Boeing and Fryes.

Here's the website for the Renton kayak center:

You really should call and reserve yourself a kayak. They are surprisingly well stocked at this location, but better to be safe than sorry. Reasonable rates and a vast selection of kayaks at this location.

Great event Chris. A goofy way to meet my new neighbor though. Vino after kayaking - what a concept. Thanks for the bubbley too.

Looks like we may have a better turnout that last time. Fantastic! I just added to the event notes that it's wise to call and rent a kayak. They have tons of kayaks at this hidden and low frequented gem of a rental shop, I've never seen such a vast selection of styles. We are arriving when they open at 11:00, but I do advise making a resi, especially if you're driving far to get here!!!

Is anyone interested in going crabbing??? Let me know and we'll set something up.

If you want to go crabbing with people just post a crabbing meet up. This sight is for kayakers but why not post other water activities such as paddle boarding, which I might do.

Hey Nancy, glad you're joining us. I used to live in Boca years ago... Miss the sunshine, but not the humidity.
