Although this is not kayaking I used to go crabbing with my God Father, so fill free to post about this any time you want. : )

which would you prefer, Camano Island State Park or Kayak Pt. (parking $7.00) Im sure discovery pass works for State Park. but not the county park at kayak pt. let me know what everyone thinks would be a better place.

Hi Wendy. Where is this happening? If you are going to eat crab I'd suggest Steilacoom since it's away from a lot of the industrial King County waters. South Sound is open now

People are always crabbing off the Steilacoom dock. I know where the free parking is. We could set pots and paddle 1 mile to Ketron Island (I have access rights) or just stay close to shore. I know the clam beds were dying off around Camano so I'm guessing there is something bad in the water there. Who knows these days.

I think Id like to try kayak pt again its out by Tulalip. There are covered picnic tables, beach to explore, egles, seals sometimes. I will have my grandson so this is more about crabbing than kayaking really, but its still a really nice place to kayak and the water is pretty calm for the sound. It opens July 3rd.
