Drink's and Dialogue - Reading Daring Greatly

Join us at OPA! for drinks and dialogue as we discuss the book Daring Greatly.

This isn't just a book club, it is a chance to get to know others who are curious about the NEXT aspect of Christianity. During these few weeks we will gather to discuss a book that helps us grow into how we can live out the stuff Jesus spoke about.  This group is for every type of person, age group, background, or belief. We are simply coming together to better ourselves and this world through faith.

Brené Brown's book, Daring Greatly, is not necessarily a Christian book. She speaks more about Harry Potter than Jesus, and yet the message about the power of truth in vulnerability connects with the lifestyle Jesus lead.

We normally have between 10 and 15 no matter how many people have RSVP'd for the group via meetup. We hope you can come out and join us. A great group with great people!

Good. It would be better if participants were instructed to tell personal stories in the first person rather than teach in the third person. It would also be better if a talking piece was used rather than allow a few strong personalities to monopolize the speaking time. Other than that it was good.

This book is great, and her ted talks are even better. I've read most of it and think I still have the copy laying around. I hope
