November meeting of Dakota Prairie Chapter of North Country Trail

Marcus Schaffer was born and raised in Fargo, ND and he grew up going to a small campground in Minnesota that had a woods. This gave him the love for hiking and the outdoors. He took photography classes when he was in High School and has always loved it. He started back in photography when he and his daughter started camping and hiking every year for the last 7 years. He wanted to document their adventures and it has grown into a full time hobby.

Marcus will share photos from his recent trip out to Glacier National Park as well as more local photos he's taken in the Fargo area and on the NCT in various places.

Hey, sorry I missed you all but after struggling widely to find parking I realized I was in Marlin Hall or some other place, not Morrill. Then, I drove back across campus to try to see Morrill (which you said was behind the library) but because I couldn't park and it was dark, I couldn't have told which building it was. So I left. I hope you had a good meeting. Will you be meeting here in the future?

Ryan (and anyone else who is wondering)--We can park on the west side of Morrill Hall and at that time there are no tickets or restrictions on where to park. It is thus best to go north from 12th Ave on Bolley Drive to the first parking lot on the right. Google Maps shows it well.

Liza--Marcus Schaffer will show pictures he has taken, some of which will be on the North Country Trail. We will also have a brief business meeting to talk about the progress on trail building, plans for this winter's activities and committee reports.

Where is the best place to park?

Morrill Hall is easy to find, being the third Hall/building north or 12th Ave on the NDSU campus on Albrecht which is the street which goes north at the signal by the Library.
