Reddit Ride! Lets bike with eachother and drink some beer.

Ahhhh yes The 3rd reddit ride is upon us. Where will we go? who will be ridding? will that drunk guy show up again? who knows but come join us at doug sahm hill to find out what all the fuss is about and possibly get your hands on some cold beer. rides usually last about 30 min to an hour and we ride at a reduced pace and dont leave anyone behind. We will likely run through the capitol again for the half way point where if you feel so inclined you can ride out and meet us at the bar. If you get pictures post em.let the games begin

UPDATE1: Okay so we have a few people intrested in going somehwere that is under 21 friendly. I think im going to push for whole foods. they stay open till 11pm and allow you to sit outside on the roof even after 11. They sell all kinds of food (some expensive some not) and have a beer fridge that is to die for

Many bike locking locations as well as tools and pumps to fix stuff on your bike if needed. PLEASE BRING YOUR LOCK!! If anything you can likely take your bike upstairs with you.

UPDATE 2: Map http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/140057391

Okay so this is the map I plan on hitting the shoal creek trail up to 15th and cross over mopac to enfield park where we will break. from there we will ride all the way down johnson creek hike and bike trail and then to the lance armostrong bike back and wrap around 3rd street (like last ride) to whole foods. very short only 7 miles long. hitting up all the major south we

st trails on this one. all trails are paved and should be fine but note we may have to go up some stairs to exit shoal creek, johnson is very windy and alot of fun. bring your lights because youll need them.

Social Cycling Austin rides as traffic and not against it. We obey traffic signals/road signs, yield the right of way, let cars pass, and we do not block intersections. We strive to be courteous to both our fellow cyclists and vehicular traffic on the road. Please listen to the Ride Leaders that are volunteering to help lead the ride safely; they are some nice folks and have your best interest in mind.

Curious about the rules of the road? Check out this most awesome rules site here: http://bicycleaustin.info/laws/austin.html

REMINDER: The goal is to create a safe environment for all cyclists and reach the destination without injury. We cannot control every riders’ behavior, nor do we desire to. We strongly encourage personal responsibility on all SCA rides; it is up to YOU to maintain safe conduct for yourself and those around you. If you choose to ride with us YOU accept the risks inherent in riding a bicycle amongst a large group of other cyclists of varying skill levels as well as being in close proximity to vehicular traffic.
