      Paul - as BTC ASIC mining is becoming a completely professional endeavor, alt-coin mining is the only space for individual people to participate actively, definitely worth discussion

      Yes, and since altcoins can be turned into Bitcoins through exchanges it's the main entry point for folks who don't want to be 'just' currency investors.
