How true Ron. Slightly different than those TV programs but brought truth into the skrip while being comic

I thought the movie was great! I enjoyed the freshness of the plot, coupled with many of the familiar things I watched on TV as a child. The set design and costuming were unparalleled!

This version of the Lone Ranger is a romp through the myths and realities of the Old West, combining many of the conflicts, social changes, and technologies that shaped the Western Expansion. I especially enjoyed the interplay of Tonto and The Lone Ranger, as they went from companions, to competitors, to Mentor / student, to true friends and partners.

Loved the fast paced action adventures throughout the whole movie, and the comic twist with Johnny Dep was really great, so glad I saw this movie on the big screen.

It has to be your popularity. Heads up, went yesterday to see this movie for the 2nd time (have gift card to use up) friend had not seen it and seniors are $9.00. Not that either of us qualify for that $1.00 discount, but one day.... LOL. Be prepared to laugh your head off, great movie.

Why does work have to get in the way of all fun things. I can't wait to be retired someday and be able to enjoy the whole day off. I can barely get away for a movie right now. Someday.....but I am looking forward to see the Lone Ranger next week for sure.

Since I didn't see the first "Despicable Me," I think "The Lone Ranger" is my choice.

My pick is The Lone Ranger. Johnny Depp is going to be amazing in that role!

    June 7, 2013

  • Ron C.

Both are going to be great, but I suspect the Lone Ranger would be a better choice. The reason Despicable Me was so good was the transformation of Gru from a bad guy to great dad - how can you sustain that in a sequel?
