Join us for a work party at Kanaka Creek Regional Park. We'll be doing follow-up work at a restoration site that was planted up last fall. The plants have done really well this winter, and to ensure they continue to thrive this summer, we’ll be adding mulch to the site. We will also be removing a few small patches of ivy from the property, as well as transplanting some trilliums from the adjacent forest.
In addition to MVERT members, we’ll be joined by volunteers from the Kanaka Creek Education and Environmental Partnership Society (KEEPS). It’ll be a great opportunity to meet like-minded folks who are passionate about helping the environment.
Metro Vancouver will provide all necessary equipment (e.g. gloves, shovels, trowels, etc.) and refreshments (e.g. water, juice, cookies). The event will run rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for the weather. Sturdy footwear is highly recommended.
We’ll be meeting at 12420 Kathryn Street at noon. It's a residential street, so please make sure not to block any driveways.
