We’ve successfully beaten back the highly invasive Japanese knotweed along Imperial Trail, and now we need help to restore the area by planting native shrubs and trees and removing other invasive plants! Pacific Spirit Regional Park is an urban forest gem for the millions who visit the park each year, while also providing critical habitat for birds, plants and other wildlife. Help us keep the park beautiful and healthy for both people and the creatures that live there!
The Pacific Spirit Park Society has been hard at work for many years restoring valuable habitat in the park by planting trees and shrubs and removing invasive plants like holly and ivy. We’ll be working with 50+ volunteers along Imperial Trail, a high use trail where Japanese knotweed was once dominant.
Gloves, tools, snacks and refreshments will all be provided, so please just wear sturdy footwear, dress appropriately for the weather and be ready to work hard and have fun!
