It's still hot and dry outside - let's water new trees to help them survive

The hot dry weather is continuing so let's do more watering again this week.

Recently some large areas at Tynehead Regional Park were planted with native trees and shrubs in order to restore the sites back to a native plant community. These new plants need help to survive their first summer before their roots are fully established. Come out and help us water the trees! There will be a large water tank on site and we’ll be using hoses and a bucket brigade to water as many of them as we can.  If there’s time we can do some weeding around the trees and pull out some invasive plants that are popping up.

We're meeting at the Serpentine Fields Entrance at 168 street at 102 Ave (that's near the pedestrian overpass Highway 1).
