Relational Alchemy Community Night - November 9

on Facebook:

This event is open to everyone, whether you are a veteran of relating work or have no idea what 'relational alchemy' means (and are intrigued enough to find out.) Let's connect and play!

Friday, November 9

doors at 7, starting at 7:30

Sutra Room (#113)
830 Bancroft Way, Berkeley
Driving and parking directions

$20 each, or $15 each for parties of 2 or more (bring friends or a date!)
(no one turned away for lack of funds)

'Relational alchemy' is what happens when two (or more) people are able to dance with their own authentic experiences and to extend empathy, love and respect to also dance with the authentic experiences of each other. When someone moves in this space, everything changes.

There is no cookie-cutter mold for how you should be or what relating should look like. Everyone is a complete universe unto themselves, has a unique style, personality, and integrity that is perfectly *them*, and everyone is perfect and amazing as they are (including their belief that they aren't.)

These nights involve a series of fun, social exercises that demonstrate and explore relational alchemy, getting to know yourself better while at the same time learning to see and appreciate more about everyone you connect with. There will also be unstructured time for connecting with each other and fostering community. People of all backgrounds, relationship styles, and sexual orientation are welcome!

All this is within a lighthearted container which is safe for getting real, taking emotional risks, and personal growth. Everyone has an opportunity to profoundly see and be seen, where there is nothing to 'get' and judgements and distractions fade away.

Things to expect: laughter, relief, anxiety/excitement, reverence, love and connection, new friends, and new possibilities for how you engage the world

Facilitated by Michael McDonald (Integrity Coach).

I enjoyed it a lot and thought Michael was a great facilitator. I've done a lot of similar types of exercises before in different contexts and they are most powerful when the container is held and the facilitator is skilled. Yay Michael!

Wow! I did not know what to expect, but this was really fun and interesting. I definitely will be going to the next one.

I was very impressed by the depth of the exercises, and how quickly I was able to connect with others in a meaningful way. I would highly recommend this group to others.

The last Community Night in Oakland was lovely. We had about 20 people, a good mix of regulars and a lot of new faces.
