We have two movies to watch:

Gallipoli:  Catastrophe documentary

Gallipoli:  The Untold Stories

In addition, very good short and lucid introduction is Dan van der Vat, The Dardanelles Disaster.

Also good though more detailed is Robin Prior, Gallipoli

Basically, we decided to hold a program on June 28, probably at the Library. We might show a film.

      I'm looking into various possibilities.

We might hold some meetings at Cafe Sobaka (25th St. at Broadway).
They now show Soviet movies twice a week or so. Perhaps we could show
some dealing with earlier period, or Battleship Potemkin or something like that.

I highly recommend a series called Fall of Eagles (you can find it on You Tube) which begins in 1848 and traces the fall of the three dynasties--Hohenzolllerns,
    Romanovs, and Habsburgs--to 1919.

Might be a good place to start. Perhaps we could watch some of these together.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
