Join us for a screening of the acclaimed feature-length documentary The Money Fix which exposes the assumptions behind the current monetary system and offers a look at existing alternatives. The screening will be followed by a panel and Q&A with director Alan Rosenblith, Jen Cohen of Seven Stones Leadership and The Global Sufficiency Network, and Jordan Schachter of Time Interchange New York (TINY). Alan and Jen will be joining us via Skype and Jordan will moderate the discussion. Money is at the intersection of nearly every aspect of modern life. Most of us take the monetary system for granted, but it has a profound and largely misunderstood influence on our lives. THE MONEY FIX is a feature-length documentary exploring our society’s relationship with the almighty dollar.

THE MONEY FIX examines economic patterning in both the human and the natural worlds, and through this lens we learn how we can empower ourselves by redesigning the lifeblood of the economy at the community level. The film documents three types of alternative money systems, all of which help solve economic problems for the communities in which they operate.

Alan Rosenblith has a diverse professional background in music, permaculture, and currency design. After being certified in Permaculture at Santa Fe's EcoVersity, Rosenblith pursued a career in filmmaking. His first film "Dreams of Green" detailed organic farming and was broadcast on New Mexico public television. More recently, Rosenblith has seen his filmmaking as one tool in a broader toolkit to promote human evolution. Rosenblith considers his primary role to be an agent for creating cultural mind shifts.
