The Okefenokee Swamp is a magical place full of mystery and intrigue everywhere you look. It is one of my absolute favorite places in Georgia.
This is going to be an awesome workshop. Its one of my favorite workshops that I teach. We will be shooting everything from the sunrise, to the sunset and in between we will shoot the swamp itself and the wildlife from alligators to owls, from an assortment of other birds to dragonflies and of course, the ever present deer.
In the workshop presentation we will go everything you need to know in order to capture amazing imagery that will leave your viewers awe inspired. For those of you who want to take your photography to the next level, we will go over different avenues and ways that you can do just that.
And if all of that is not enough, after the sun sets, we will begin a whole new part of the workshop as we begin to capture the night sky in all of its glory.
The area where we will be shooting is one of Georgia's darkest sky areas. Many people in America today will never see all the stars or the Milky Way like you can see in this awesome location. I will teach each person how to capture it just as you see it and even better. And the best part, absolutely NO special equipment is needed.
(All of these images were taken at this location)
We will begin the workshop with a classroom presentation going over everything you need to know in order to capture all of these amazing scenes. Then we will spend the rest of the weekend in hands on and one on one practice of all these techniques, tricks and controls.
What you will need:
A camera that allows for manual controls
Your camera manual or a guide for it if you do not know how to use the manual controls on your camera.

Cottages, Cabins and Camping will be available for rent nearby. Hotels are also available within a short driving distance. I always limit these kinds of workshops to no more than 10 - 12 participants. This workshop is one of my most popular workshops and tends to fill up quickly. So be sure to RSVP as soon as possible.
Update: This workshop is currently full. We have 10 participants plus the two hosts signed up here and two more participants who are signed up outside of the meetup. For all of those still wanting to take this workshop but that didn't make the registration, we have planned another one of these same workshops for August 9-10 during the Perseid Meteor Shower :) I look forward to seeing you all soon. :) Click the following link to go directly to the sign up page for August before it is sold out as well.
