Carl Sagan Day

An informal get-together to toast Carl Sagan (like last year).

Carl Sagan should be recognized – not just for his contributions to astronomy – but for the way in which he made real science accessible to so many by his lectures, books, television appearances, and his impassioned leadership and influence in the skeptical community.

We will try to takeover the bar again and some of us will probably eat dinner also.

We will also take this opportunity to have a planning meeting for the 3rd Annual Reno Darwin Day Celebration of Science and Humanity. We are scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday February 9, 2013. Tentative location is the Northwest Reno Library on Robb Road.

I thought I'd be there, but can't make it. Please let me know when the next planning meeting is and I'll be there. Hopefully it will be during the work week so I don't have to make the 120 mile round trip to Reno and home again.

We will schedule a real planning meeting soon. No problem making it a weekday. Darwin Day is just three months away!

I was planning on attending but I think I'm coming down with something. I'm going to get some rest and try not to get anyone else sick. See you guys next time.
