Anything that brings me closer to an understanding of the objective reality that we find ourselves in.
"In Search Of..." with Leonard Nimoy was a childhood fave. Loved Penn & Teller's "Bullshit!". Derek & Swoopy got me into podcasts many years ago, but I've drifted away from that one. "Skeptoid" has to be at the top of the list right now. "Penn's Sunday School" is cool, but Penn can be a little hard to take in large doses, as much as I coincide with him on many levels.
A little entertainment via the lectures, and the pub meetups bring me part way out of my shell on occasion. I don't get too much out of the knowledge that my skepticism is shared by others- I just see that as a "Duh!" revelation...
My "schedule" is highly variable, due to living in two states, and I am a member of a few other Meetups, which will conflict on occasion. Generally, though, my girlfriend Zoe and I will be available when we're in Reno.
I am a returning member, after a much-needed respite. I was curious, as a child, about the many "beyond the pale" subjects that presented themselves. I've since become increasingly frustrated with the "woo-ish" tack that so many have taken.
Keep it going, folks!
