Repair Cafe:Tinker, Tailor, Knitter, Nailer!!!

The Repair Cafe is all about:

Tinker, Tailor, Knitter, Nailer

  1. This event features 5-6 seamstresses and hand sewers,
  2. one knitter for sweater repair,
  3. one jewelry repair person,
  4. One jewelry polisher, and
  5. two tinkers for appliance or electronic repairs.
(Repair people please arrive at 2:30 for set up ** Thank you!!)

Tagging along....

  • The event will also feature the ever-popular Really Really Free Market --bring things in good condition you no longer need or want.  Take whatever you may want...FREE!
  • Do you have an excess of fruits on your tree?  also welcome! Contact the Time Bank Neighborhood Fruit Picking Project to come pick the fruits for you!
  • There will also be a Time Bank Orientation opportunity for folks who need to understand how it works and how to get hooked in.

After party: 6-9 pm at Throop Hall 300 So Los Robles.

A Community Potluck will be hosted by Arroyo Time Bank and NELA Transition, the co-sponsors of Repair Cafe.

It is a Zero Waste event as always.  Bring your plate, cup and utensils.  A potluck dish earns a time dollar.  Socializing will be 6-7:30 (wine to unwind is acceptable!) followed by a presentation by Sachiko Speaks of the Pasadena Community Gardens on Pasadena Ave across from Huntington Hospital talking about the launching of the project and how to get a garden plot there.

Looking forward to seeing you there!!!

Busy, productive, learning process. Candace with her RV troubles will take some separate time outside, but looks doable.

I am available to participate as welder, I have my welding machine, tools, I just need parking, and a good outlet of 110 Volts.
