This may be totally off the mark, but having worked with seniors, I can't help but think all apps should be skinned for the elderly with three items tops: pic, one sentence description, the a spot to hit their credit card (or whatever). Google should start a completely new division for this. I feel very passionate about how in a society that worships a youth we all lose, everything tech is geared for the young. I have a completely unscientific belief that well-designed iPad apps will help stave off Alzheimer's.
I don't have the solution as yet, but I admire the problem.
I will listen to every syllable with great eagerness and as I return to my tech roots, may well have something to contribute one day.
Former database SQL apps developer turned copywriter/author/marketer/social mediaclast/yoga teacher now coming full circle - am fascinated by user interfaces, and I can't imagine such a thing called "non-responsive" web design!
Kudos to you Matt for maintaining the rage! I like how you bring up examples to underscore points made in the talk.
