Music has healing properties. The vibrations that we create are sound waves that we as a group can direct toward peace, healing, and just having fun. Kirtan is traditionally Indian in nature, and we will use mantras from kundalini yoga as the basis of our exploration in experiencing sound fully. Although these mantras are in another language, they stimulate meridian channels in your body to open and certain hormones in your body to secrete, so that you will feel new and full of joy by the end of our time together.

Radiant Sun Yoga is a yoga studio/Healing center located in the heart of Reston.  The founder/co-owner, Lisa "Devinder Kaur" Gregory decided to start this group our of her love to chant with other people. She would like to connect with those of like mind and come together to create something fabulous, and to expand our spritual community in the Northern Virginia area. She believes that "musical talent" is something rather oblivious when looking toward the greater goal which is experiencing the sound current. Whether or not you consider yourself a musician, just plucking along or humming can contribute to the overall sound we create.

Anyone interested in participating in and experiencing what mantras and music can do to open up blockages and heal the past, is welcome! No experience necessary.
