SharePoint Cross Browser Compatibility in a BYOD World

SharePoint cross browser compatibility is no longer limited to internet facing sites as customers/clients adopt the bring-your-own-device (BYOD) model as part of their enterprise. Intranet facing sites designed for internal collaboration cannot assume an enterprise controlled, configured and/or tested browser. Focus will be limited to the top five browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera and Safari) in their current supported version. Additional focus will be on comparison of SharePoint 2010 and 2013 (notable enhancements). Focus will not be on custom Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), hypertext markup language (HTML), JavaScript or other W3C web design standards. The goal is to provide a foundation for the identification, troubleshooting, research and remediation (or workaround) of SharePoint cross browser compatibility issues. This talk will be kept general enough to be appropriate for developers, administrators, testers and business stakeholders.
