We brought it and I'm happy so many enjoyed it. I found out you are Kat's cousin. She is one of my FB friend and we love watching her do disc stuff when we can.

I usually bring the big jug. We volunteer at a lot of Golden Retriever rescue events and the are usually 3 or 4 hours so water is needed.

Water is the the easiest thing for me to remember. I usually forget the treats.

Chevy Loved it! She couldn't get enough of the swimming. Funny watching the dogs waiting at the dock gate for their turn. Was like being at adventure island with the kids.

When is the next meet up?

Thanks to whoever brought the (community) water jug. Sorry that Max kinda took over the water drinking area. He likes to be in control. lol

I thought Jeter was the water hog & I also greatly appreciate the fact you brought the water. I forgot our water in the car; not that he would've drank it. He always prefers what the other dogs bring.

This was such a wonderful time! Thank you so much for setting this up!! Jeter had a great day even though we only got him in the pool w/ me at the end to stand & be held. Your technique & patience is awesome & everyone was wonderful!!! Thanks to all <3

We may just bring Lily today. If we bring Tayla I'll have to go in the pool to get her and drag her out every time. She cant be around the pool and not become nuts! Just not feeling it today.

I don't mind helping out. I'm only bringing one of my dogs & he will likely have to be coaxed (pushed) in

Max and Lexi had a great time with all the other retrievers. Wish they would swim instead of dipping their toes in.

Give them time, some of them take a while. :)

Although Lily didn't try the pool she had a good time running, playing and watching others from the shade.

From reading the comments, I assume for this activity pool wear & flip flops are appropriate for us parents as opposed to shorts & sneakers?

    May 31, 2014

    • Angelica S.

both sneakers or flip flops are appropriate, your call. :) Towels are a must. Definitely plan on getting wet, that is ideal. :)

I assume lab or golden mixes are ok? I have 2 (one of each) but will probably bring my golden.

Hello! Is this meetup for retrievers only? I ask because we have a greyhound that loves to play and we were looking for a safe environment for her to socialize. She does not know how to swim but she loves to run and chase with other dogs :)

    May 25, 2014

    • Angelica S.

Hi Steven, welcome to the group! You as a person are more than welcome to attend the meetup but we ask that only Retrievers come to this specific meet up. BUT we are adding a sighthound meetup so if you give me your email, i will let you know when i have added it and you can join that group. It will be a similar type of thing except we will have free lure coursing. :)

Jan is really good about watching the dogs to see if any are getting too ruff or they need a little time out. Keeps everyone feeling safe.

Rick and I will be bringing Tayla and Lily this time. Should be warm enough for me to get in the pool each time and pull Tayla out :)
