  • Bethany's’ Refugee Resettlement program is hosting the 4th annual refugee benefit silent auction, “Growing Global, Farming Local,” at the Grand Rapids’ Downtown Market.

This event will be a time to learn more about refugees in Grand Rapids and support an exciting new project helping many refugees thrive in a new community. There are currently 3 community gardens located throughout Grand Rapids where over 90 refugee families tend to garden plots. Bethany is hoping to expand this agriculture project through the creation of a farm site where refugees will learn market skills in order to expand employment opportunities while improving access to healthy and locally-grown food.

All funds raised during this event will support the refugee agriculture project, “Hope Farms.”

    $20, $25 at the door

Should we just cancel this event due to the high cost. I didn't realize it was $20 for tickets. I really can't afford that either.

Since parking is limited, carpooling is helpful. Otherwise I'm sure people can park along the street.
