STORY SLAM!!! Call for stories!

Hey, RPCVs! Are you ready for Story Slam 2014? We are!
Our third annual Peace Corps Story Slam will be this spring (mark your calendars for late April/early May) but we wanted to send out an early call for stories. This time around, we want to give RPCVs a chance to work with us before the slam in case all that's needed for a great story is a little tweaking and encouragement. Our annual slams are a time for RPCVs to take the stage in front of a live audience and tell a tale of Peace Corps mayhem and adventure. Get ready to laugh, cringe, and cry with us....

If you have a story in mind or want to meet with some other RPCVs to throw some ideas around, we will pick a time for all interested storytellers to meet up, eat, drink, and work on their stories with each other. No pressure, just friendly guidance from your friends and others of us that have some experience with storytelling. This is also a great opportunity for crafting your Peace Corps story, beyond the Story Slam. Think third goal!

If you have any interest at all (this includes past storytellers). please write to Peter Clark, [address removed] and CC [address removed]

We want to start talking with you now and gauge interest. Keep in mind, our last slam had over 100 in attendance, and this one is going to be even bigger! This is a great way to get your story out there. We will have 10-12 story tellers for the evening.

And of course, if you have an AWESOME venue in mind, let us know! We are currently in the process of scoping out places for this event. If you weren't able to make to the last few story slams, check out our podcast, with live RPCV stories told in NYC. On iTunes, Where there is No TP. Or here:

Looking forward to hearing from you,

-The BQ RPCV Team
