Shamanism is one of the oldest spiritual paths known to mankind, a way of life that gifts one easy and applicable tools to apply to modern day wellness. Come and join Rob Murphy and Sarah Eve Cardell as they share their experiences of what they learned from many indigenous teachers, teaching the core practices of shamanism, which allow you to access individual healing and ways to empower your daily life.

Shamanic practices globally have certain core characteristics. A shaman is a man or a woman who serves their community as a teacher, counselor, and healer by connecting with spirit guides, ancestors, the elements, to gain wisdom and healing guidance for others. Drums and/or rattles are most often the tools used in guiding the shaman into the meditative state to access this information. This process is what is called the shamanic journey. Other tools used in shamanic ceremonies include stones, crystals, and herbs for cleansing energy.

We will:
•Learn the easy techniques of shamanic drum journeying.
•Connect and meet with one’s personal guides and power animals for healing and accessing information.
•Explore how to practically use shamanism in everyday life for assisting life changes, solving problems, accessing personal power, leading a path of happiness and health!

Optional: You are welcome to bring a yoga mat/cushion to lay on (although there will be some to share) and any sacred items dear to your heart that you may want to charge with the awesome energy of the event!

Energy exchange: $20 RSVP, $25 at the door.

Please RSVP with sincerity. :-)

Rob Murphy is a practicing shaman and Reiki master, initiated as a yatchak in the Quichuan Path of Light by Don Esteban Tamayo in Ecuador and a shaman in the Green Path Medicine tradition by the late Brazilian shaman Ipupiara; he was also initiated into the Brazilian tradition of the Makunaiman. Rob is the founder of the Richmond Shamanic Meetup and Drum Circle gives workshops and classes in shamanism in Virginia and NYC, as well as internationally in Canada and Ireland. He also helps facilitates trips for those wishing to visit and learn from indigenous shamanic elders in South America. As a graduate of Dr Linda Backman’s Past Life Soul Regression and Between Life Soul Regression programs, he regularly uses the power of regression therapy as an integral part of his shamanic healing as well. Rob is a certified raw food chef/coach/teacher through the Creative Health Institute founded by the late Ann Wigmore and has been the organizer of the Richmond, Virginia raw food community for the last 6 years.

Sarah Eve Cardell uses yoga, shamanic, crystal, tarot, and nutrition knowledge for whole-body wellness and healing. With a degree in biopsychology from the University of Michigan with experience in Zen Buddhist meditation, she then completed the yoga teacher training with Sri Dharma Mittra. Additionally she is a certified Usui Reiki Master and a student of the late shaman Ipupiara of the Ure-e-wau-wau Amazonian tribe. The path of healing led her to work closely with the Santo Daime community and with John of God in Brazil; other international trips including Mexico and Central America, Europe, Israel, and Southeast Asia, she encountered sacred spiritual practices in which she shares. Integrating her experience also as a chef, she uses food as another medicinal tool in the healing journey. In workshops and individual healing sessions she uses her array of gifts to facilitate one to connect deeply to one’s heart and true light, shifting illness, removing blocks, finding one’s higher life purpose. She provides a safe space in which you can heal you!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
