Its a Swamp Thing

Duration: 2.5 hours

Distance: 5 miles

Difficulty: easy

Hunter Orange: Required

To reach the parking area take Liberty Lane which runs off Rt. 138 in Kingston 200 yds. west of the junction of Rt. 110. Follow Liberty going left at the RR tracks, the road now becomes Great Neck Rd. Continue on past the Management Headquarters to a parking area with a barred gate.

This is an easy hike through the woodlands and around the swamp on gravel lanes that are not blazed. This is a historically significant location in the early establishment of the colonies and their interactions with the Natives in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Please read and understand the RI Hiking Club liability waiver as a condition of your participation on this hike. Proper dress and extra water for hydration along with your sunny disposition will make this a fun time for you and the group.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
