Go Hiking

Parts of this hike is pretty difficult so it is not for beginners. We will be doing about 4 miles. If anyone wants to carpool we can meet in the parking lot at REI in Cranston at about 8:45.

We had a beautiful spring day to hike Wolf Den. It was good hiking with Mike & Tim.

Good to meet both of you and it was certainly a great morning for it. Really enjoyed it.

Is there a phone number I can use to find you guys in the morning? I'm on a motorcycle so I'll need to borrow someone's trunk to stash jacket and gloves if that's okay.

Also I did twist my ankle a few weeks ago. It's fully functional at this point, I just may need to go a touch slower. I'm excited to get out and check out this hike but if you're planning on a fast pace throughout and want to stick with that let me know and I'm happy to bail.

Since not too many people have signed up for this hike, I wonder if it is still on. Four miles seems easy to me, since I have been taking weekly hikes of eight to nine miles. I assume that difficult mean some elevation gain, but in Rhode Island that is usually not too daunting. I am a sixty-five year old hiker with considerable experience. Since I live in Smithfield, meeting in Pomfret would be best for me. This would be my first hike with your organization, so I am unfamiliar with your proceedures. Please let me know if this hike is suitable for me. The area is one that I have long been interested in.

The hike hasn't been cancelled by Mike, so it is still on. The first few miles have some steep hills, which are more challenging than maybe any RI hike. This hike is local for me. I did an AMC hike with you last week. You will be fine with the terrain. The only open question that I'd have is how well the pace Mike wants to set and your desired pace will match.
