Pulaski Park- Peck Pond is hike #27 in Ken Weber’s “Weekend Walks in Rhode Island” book. Pulaski Park is in Glocester, RI and is located next to the RI/CT state line. The hike will begin and end at the beach located in the park.
We will be taking a 3 mile walk through the park, with the route taking us by Peck Pond and through a covered bridge. The walk should take roughly 1.5 hours to complete.
The route we will be following is a blue blazed cross-country ski trail. There are some small hills, but the terrain is mostly flat. Bring water, snacks, bugspray. and sunscreen. Wear appropriate footwear for walking dirt trails that may be muddy.
Directions: Pulaski Park is located off Rt 44, just east of the RI/CT state line. Head west on Rt 44 from Chepachet going past the George Washington Campgrounds and Bowdish Reservoir. Turn right off Rt 44 at the sign for the park, which will have you driving on Pulaski Road. The entrance road for the park will be on your right, and continue straight on the entrance road until you come to the large parking area by the beach.
