 Event Rating: Strenuous

Distance: 7 Miles

Time Duration: 4 Hours

Blaze Orange: REQUIRED

This is a MakeUp of NST Section 6 for those members in the process of completing the NST. This section is 7 miles in length and starts on Moosup Valley Road and will take us along gravel roads before hitting the pavement of RI 14 for just under a mile.

We will be hiking through the Nicholas Farm Wildlife Management Area and along the Moosup River for a time and pass by Spencer's Rocks (a "rapid" by RI standards). We will be passing the halfway marker of the trail on this section at 1.02 miles down the trail from the where Section 5 ended.

This is a "point to point" hike and we will be carpooling from the meetup location, hiking and carpooling back to the meetup location.

Please allow 4 hours for carpooling and hiking.

As usual the pace will be quick so be sure to bring water and snacks. A good pair of waterproof hiking boots is required since some of the hike will be along washed-out and muddy trails. Priority will be given to members working on completing the entire NST.
