Pulaski Park- Peck Pond is hike #27 in Ken Weber’s “Weekend Walks in Rhode Island” book. Pulaski Park is in Glocester, RI and is located next to the RI/CT state line.

We will be taking a 3 mile walk through the park, with the route taking us by Peck Pond and through a covered bridge. The walk should take roughly 1.5 hours to complete.

The route we will be following is a blue blazed cross-country ski trail. There are some small hills, but the terrain is mostly flat. Bring water, snacks, bugspray and sunscreen. Wear appropriate footwear for walking dirt trails that may be muddy.

Directions: From the Providence area take US 44 West into Chepachet and from Chepachet Center (Where US 44 West Splits from RI 102 North) take US 44 West 6.25 miles to Pulaski Rd. Turn right onto Pulaski Rd and continue 0.8 miles to entrance to Pulaski Park. Bear right into Pulaski Park and continue about 300 yards or so past the entrance and turn right onto an asphalt road which leads to a large parking lot next to a ball field.

Putting this in my GPS to check drive time, it comes up as Chepachet CT. Is that right? Thanks.
