Blackstone River Bikeway Afternoon Hike

The Blackstone River Bikeway runs from Central Falls at the southern end to Woonsocket at the northern end. We will be hiking from the Tourist Information Center on Route 295 North down to the bike path and then heading South along the bike path. If we start about 2:00 PM and hike south for about one hour and then turn around and head back to the information center we should be getting back before dark. We should be able to cover about 6 miles round trip.

Directions; from the Providence area take Route 146 North to Route 295 North. The Tourist Information Center is located in Lincoln on 295 North about 1 mile north past the 146/295 interchange. There is a large parking lot at the Information Center.


Please bring a good pair of hiking boots and drinking water.

    I hope you do this hike again. The time of day was perfect and the bikeway is a beautiful place to walk...but not on a damp and raw kind of day, well, not for me.
