NST Section 2 Hike

Distance: 7.5 Miles

Time Duration: 3.5 Hours

Blaze Orange: REQUIRED

Because of the popularity of the NST Hikes, the difficulty of this hike and a maximum number of hikers allowed, this section is only open only to members (No Guests) who have successfully completed at least 5 Sections of the NST with the RIHC and are truly interested in completed ALL sections of the NST.

Section 2 is 7.5 miles in length with 5.5 miles in wooded areas and 2 miles on asphalt roads. Please allow at least 4 hours for the hike and carpooling.

Some portions of this hike will be through rugged terrain so a good pair of hiking boots is a must along with water and a snack.

Hunting season continues in the DEM Management areas and all hikers are REQUIRED to wear at minimum of 200 square inches of florescent orange on their person above the waist.
