The John B. Hudson trail is a short, easy, hike with a lot of natural beauty in the Arcadia Management area. It is named for one of Rhode Island's hiking pioneers. This is a 4 mile loop that will take us form the Rt.165 parking lot, which is set back a little from the road, around the Breakheart Pond and back on a different trail. We will plan on up to 2 hours to complete this hike with a little time spent at the Breakheart Pond.
To reach the start, take Rt[masked] miles west from RI 3. The entrance lane on the right is marked by a sign. The lane angles back to a parking area veiled from the road by trees. The trail is mostly flat with some rocky areas, good hiking boots recommended along with insect repellant and water. You will enjoy this scenic hike in this really nice location. Due to the limited number of hikers allowed, please respond only if you plan on attending.
Distance: 4 miles
