Tabletop games at Nathan's House in Glen Allen

  • Apr 24, 2014 · 7:00 PM

Come on out to our friendly tabletop gaming sessions. Beginners, first-timers experts, and everyone in between is welcome.

Bring your Eurogames, gateway games, light weight games, and your whatever games.

We have the amenities for four tables of gaming.

There is plenty of parking in front of the house and around the neighborhood. I always hate not knowing where I am going to park so I cobbled together a parking map. Click here for parking.

You can see the house game collection here: Nathan's Games

My intent is to provide snacks and beverages, but I encourage you to bring some goodies as well. The earlier I can get RSVPs the more creative I can be food wise.

Feel free to send any questions or comments via email or leave them below.

If you start a miniatures game I reserve the right to throw you out the house when the sun comes up

Nathan, I dropped the ball and didn't have time to run through carnival zombie. I can still bring it over, but just giving you a head's up that if we wanna play we'll have to crack the rule book. So I'm down to play any game you guys want. See you soon!

No worries. We'll get some other games to the table.

I wouldn't mind giving Alien Frontiers a go. I know y'all played it last time but it looks mighty fun. I'd be happy to teach any games if anyone is interested in any from my shelf.

I'm gonna attempt to learn Carnival Zombie before game night. This is a cooperative game, Liz, meaning everybody wins together or loses together if that helps. It'll also be a game I'll need to teach to everyone so we'll all be in the same boat. And now that I think of it, Pandemic is a coop too, so you'll be in good hands either way. Looking forward to seeing everybody!

I'm late with my usual "pick some games" yackity smackity.

I'll have the regular counter of snacks, cooler of drinks. Add and delete as you see fit.

If you are new around these parts don't be intimidated, good people all around. The most terrifying thing here is a corgi and he stands an imposing 2 feet if you account for his dumbo ears.

Dan has suggested Pandemic + expansions which sounds good. That can field up to six people, not sure I'd run that many, but it can be done.

We have eight as of this posting, but as most of you know group size is always fluid. Going to need a second game so start those nominations.

For myself I don't really have any specific game agenda at this time.

Lastly if you are going to be late(15 minutes or more) or not attend please PLEASE say so in the comments or change your RSVP. I always try to check this area 15 minutes before just in case of last minute changes. Not doing so affects the way we break into groups and/or the games we play.

Learning / teaching is always expected here. Most people are new to the games and / or the hobby in general.

Gah, that enter button. All that said you are more than welcome to just observe or bring a game you would like to teach, as we still need a second (and possibly a third as more people RSVP).

Id like to play Pandemic in The Lab expansion. Not too many new rules. Looks like fun.
