In March, I decided to plan a conference on building green communities with the hopes of generating members for Richmond Cohousing. Within a couple of weeks, I had recruited a small but enthusiastic planning team. These are notes from our first meeting: "What we want to create for the participants: community, develop future possibilities for community/sustainable living options in Richmond, create momentum, connectedness to place and design

Topics we'd like to see addressed:
    What is green/sustainable building?
What are the processes needed for decision making?
    How do we create diversity?
What are the benefits/challenges of raising a family in community? having a multigenerational community?
What is the contribution of local food, permaculture, community gardens, etc. to sustainability?”

We have planned a fantastic day for June 14! We are excited to share the experience with others interested in sustainability and intentional community!
