Been sailing for several years now, both locally on member boats and my own, as well as crewing on several flotillas (Greece, BVI, and Italy). Have the first 3 ASA courses under my belt, the Coast Guard Seamanship and Piloting certificates, my RYA (Royal Yachting Association) Qualified Crew Member, Maneuvering under Power, and Anchoring tags, and the RYA Skipper II certificate. Recently relocated closer to Deltaville (and my boat) to minimize travel time! Looking forward to a LOT of sailing from now on!
Traded boats this spring - from a Macgregor 26 to a Hunter 34, and have been repairing & upgrading this and that all year. Have taken several groups out on the new boat already, and generally had a ball!
Of course. Been doing that for a while now. . . .
If I must. . . . . .
Retired and loving it (as you see!)
This is a great group of people - particularly the skippers, who volunteer their time and boats to further the sailing pastime (sport? hobby? addiction?). There are lots of willing and eager crew members as well, just waiting for a chance to "get their feet wet" on a sailboat. It's a great opportunity to meet other aquaholics and spend some quality time on the water. Fair Winds!
