Tell us about any sailing or boating experience you have. Being specific about your sailing/boating experience will help being selected to be a Crew member.

Been sailing for several years now, both locally on member boats and my own, as well as crewing on several flotillas (Greece, BVI, and Italy). Have the first 3 ASA courses under my belt, the Coast Guard Seamanship and Piloting certificates, my RYA (Royal Yachting Association) Qualified Crew Member, Maneuvering under Power, and Anchoring tags, and the RYA Skipper II certificate. Recently relocated closer to Deltaville (and my boat) to minimize travel time! Looking forward to a LOT of sailing from now on!

Do you have a sailboat?

Traded boats this spring - from a Macgregor 26 to a Hunter 34, and have been repairing & upgrading this and that all year. Have taken several groups out on the new boat already, and generally had a ball!

If you do have a sailboat, are you interested in having other Meetup members sail with you as crew? If you answer "Yes" or "Maybe", we'll contact you to discuss how it works.

Of course. Been doing that for a while now. . . .

We require a picture so the Skippers will know who is boarding their boats

If I must. . . . . .

Introduction

Retired and loving it (as you see!)

What David H. is saying about this Meetup Group

This is a great group of people - particularly the skippers, who volunteer their time and boats to further the sailing pastime (sport? hobby? addiction?). There are lots of willing and eager crew members as well, just waiting for a chance to "get their feet wet" on a sailboat. It's a great opportunity to meet other aquaholics and spend some quality time on the water. Fair Winds!
