The Richmond Jaycees is a 501(c)4 civic organization tasked with developing leaders through a process that involves event and project planning with a focus on community development. Jaycees develop leadership skills through meetings, workshops, and training events, but the primary source of our members’ leadership development comes through hands-on experience in planning and managing chapter projects and events. Throughout the years, the Jaycees have been responsible for planning concert series, creating charities, conducting major community projects (4th of July celebrations, Richmond Christmas Parade), and founding charities. The process and tools available to Jaycee members are unique to the Jaycees, and not available elsewhere. The Jaycees also offer members the opportunity to network with other developing leaders and young people in our community.
