The Ukrop's Monument Ave 10k is celebrating its 14th running on Saturday, April 13 and as more than 1,500 people support Massey Cancer Center by raising funds through their participation in the race, we also need your help in hydrating and cheering them along with 40,000 more runners and walkers during the race.
The Massey waterstop is located at Mile 3 of the racecourse, at the intersection of Chantilly St. and Monument Ave (23230). More than 150 volunteers will help set up, maintain, and distribute water and powerade to runners and walkers - and do some cheering too!
The volunteer shift is 7:30am - 12pm. This is a youth friendly volunteer opportunity. The 10k is rain or shine and volunteers will be asked to stand for the duration of their shift so comfortable clothing is recommended. All volunteers will receive a volunteer tshirt.
The Massey waterstop also rests along the Massey Mile, a one mile segment of the course where we will pay tribute to all those who have battled cancer. We will provide noisemakers, banners, tribute cards, etc. VCU Black and Gold encouraged!

The Massey Challenge is the official charitable partner of the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k. With more than 1,500 people having accepted the Massey Challenge, we will together raise more than $500,000 for cancer research. To register or lean more about the Challenge, visit www.run4massey.org.
