Ahoy, My name is Ted and I am the Founder of Sailing 4 All, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to provide opportunities for people with physical and cognitive disabilities and other special needs to learn about and experience boating and marine related activities. We are starting with pontoon boats because they are wheelchair accessible.
Our upcoming event is Explore the Outdoors on Sunday April 28th and co-sponsored Chesterfield Parks and Recreation and The Community Idea Stations. The event is free and from 1 to 5 pm and they are expecting over 1,000 people to attend. The event takes place at Huguenot Park, 10901 Robious Road and WCVE Studios, 23 Sesame Street in Chesterfield. There are over 40 organizations signed up to participate.
Volunteers are needed to help set up before, talk to people during and take it down at the end of the event. The sponsors are providing 1 table and 2 chairs and I will be bringing a 10'x10' canopy along with 2 banners, picture boards and brochures. We can start setting up as early as 10 am and they want us complete by 12:30pm. I will need 4 or 5 people to help set up. During the event any volunteers who would like to learn more about Sailing 4 All and talk to people about the organization are welcome. At 5 pm I will need 4 people to take it all down. Volunteers designated parking in the WCVE Studios parking lot.

More volunteers opportunities will be coming very soon as we will have a our first pontoon boat on the James River about the first of May. Then there will be volunteers needed to skipper, crew, dock side support plus all the other support necessary to make it all happen!
