B.A.R.K. Kennels (You MUST Call First)

Can you find an hour or two to give to the BARK dogs to help make their lives better while they wait for someone to want them?  They are worth every ounce of energy and worthy of all our love.

Please call Linda if you can help even for 1-2 hours a week, or maybe alternate with someone else for every other week. [masked] 7740.

Wednesdays:  If they are lucky there are 4 people cleaning the entire back building.  Not too bad but certainly would be easier and more fun if they had helpers while they cleaned. And,  I need one more person for a row in the front building.

I (Tam) had to put a time on the event because thats how Meetup works, Call Linda about hours they ARE flexible. You MUST not just show up on the farm, you MUST call to let them know you are coming.

Directions:
Do not Mapquest this location - use Google maps or the directions below.  The map on this Meetup page is correct.  It is about 35 minutes from downtown Richmond.

From 295 take Route 33 West (Staples Mill Rd.) toward Montpelier exit. You’ll pass the Tyson Chicken plant and eventually come to a light at the intersection of 623. You’ll pass an Exxon station, Stanley’s store and JoPa pools. Continue for .8 mile and turn right on Farrington Road. Go to the end (stop sign at Greenwood Church Road) and turn right. Just around the curve the driveway will be on the left - it is a bridge over a creek. Drive up past the house and park where other cars will be.  Walk up the gravel drive away from the house to the barns. PLEASE DO NOT HAVE CONTACT THE DOGS AT THE HOUSE WITHIN THE FENCED AREA. They are Bob’s (the owner's) dogs - some are in training and others will not be adopted out.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
