Foodbank backpack program

I was able to secure a last minute volunteer opportunity at the foodbank. We will be doing the backpack program again where we will be working like an assembly line to create food packs to distribute to children. Park in the front right building and come into the fro.t doors. We will meet in the lobby area.

Thanks again to everyone!! I talked to Won this morning and she misspoke about having space available to volunteer on Dec 19...there is no space available. However, I was able to secure a slot to work in the warehouse stocking shelves like we normally do. It will be on Dec 17. This will probably be the last night volunteering for a while. I will post this event later tonight.

NOTE: Address for the building we will be working in is 1601 Rhoadmiller St. Richmond.

We go there instead of the address on the meetup info?

      November 26, 2013

    • Amy C.

Yes. They are basically two side by side buildings. Either address will work. The new one will put you in front of the correct one. I only have access to the site via my phone so it is easier for me to update everyone this way (and hence why I have odd typos...sorry about that!!)

Hi all-- Thanks for signing up! Looking forward to meeting each of you. If we get to do the backpack program, there will be about a 15 min orientation to let late comers straggle in. Be sure to wear closed toe shows. Again, we will be with the wells Fargo group if anyone asks. Be sure to wear closed toe shoes. They will be providing us water. Be sure to go to the building on the right...not left...enter through the front entrance. Call or text me if you are running late or cannot find us. [masked]

Hey! I may be a few minutes late, I've got a commitment 3-5 in New Kent, but I had a great time last time, and would like to help out again.

We will be doing this event ad a joint venture with wells Fargo. Two of the ladies from Welsh Fargo will be bringing their children. Pauline...one of the ones coming is the same age as you step son. So he should be fine.

He may not be able to work the whole time, but I figure he could help as much as he could and if he gets tired I can bring something to occupy him

Would this be appropriate for an 8 year old to participate in? I'd like to bring my stepson. Please let me know, thanks!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
